We stopped by The Honey Hole Bistro & Brunch Bar in Houston! The wait was about an hour and 45 minutes, but honestly, the vibe made up for the long wait— the place is gorgeous and so aesthetically pleasing. Service was good. Our waitress brought water right away, though she didn’t offer other drink options and only refilled our glasses when we asked. The DJ was amazing! Now, the food — so good! The portions were generous, the catfish and fried chicken wings were seasoned to perfection, the pork chops were tender and juicy, and those fried potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The breakfast tacos were okay. Overall, we really enjoyed it — great food, good service, and a clean, comfy atmosphere.

Sweet Jesus this was good. Pancakes had just the right amount of sweetness….and they were moist. I asked for a glass of milk to help wash the pancakes down, but our waiter must of forgot because he never brought it. The chicken was tender and delicious. The food was just all around good. The price is a little on the higher side, but you’re not coming here for the food to taste like IHOP. Spend that little extra money and get some of this good food and some nice ambiance!

I chose The Honeyhole to celebrate my 30th birthday after seeing so many great reviews, and I was genuinely excited because I’m not usually a brunch person. I had a group of 10–12 guests, which I know is a larger party, but I tried my best to plan ahead. The website didn’t allow reservations for that size, and I spent about 7–10 days calling almost daily with no answer. So I ended up reserving two tables of six and included a note explaining that it was for a special celebration. On the day of, things became a bit chaotic. They wouldn’t seat us until half the party arrived, so a few of us had to wait at the entrance. When they finally took us back, the table was only set up for nine people. I asked to speak with the manager, and to his credit, he did try to accommodate us by arranging seating for around ten near the bar. Our server, Anari, was wonderful—enthusiastic, friendly, and great with recommendations. The overall vibe and music were also really enjoyable. However, I was surprised to learn that for large parties, they apparently require a deposit. This information isn’t mentioned anywhere on the website, and since no one answered the phone for days, there was truly no way for me to know. Clear communication would have made a huge difference here and would’ve prevented a lot of unnecessary stress while planning a special occasion. Food-wise, the options were decent, though not very vegetarian or gluten-free friendly unless you customized items. The coffee was good. Overall, while I liked the ambiance and appreciated the service, I wouldn’t recommend this spot for hosting special events or large groups. For a smaller, casual brunch, though, it’s a nice place with a fun atmosphere.

I stopped by The Honey Hole Bistro & Brunch Bar in Houston and was really impressed! The place was spotless, the ambience was warm and inviting, and the fish tank added a nice, relaxing touch to the overall vibe. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. We started off with complimentary biscuits that were soft, sweet, and fresh out of the oven—such a nice touch! The grits came in a generous portion and were topped with a perfectly seasoned catfish that was packed with flavor. The crab gravy was refreshing and added a unique twist. The pork chops were seasoned like something out of a master chef’s kitchen—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The fried potatoes were absolutely divine—crispy and well-seasoned. I did ask for my cheese to be cooked into my eggs rather than placed on top, but it came out the other way. Still good, but a bit heavy on the egg whites for my liking. The drinks were cool, refreshing, and a great complement to the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Great service, delicious food, and a clean, comfortable setting. I’ll definitely be back! Rating: 8/10 – Highly recommend for brunch lovers looking for good vibes and great flavors.

I had birthday brunch with 5 of my dear friends at The Honey Hole. The food was delicious & our waiter was amazing. I highly recommend It & We’ll definitely return. The only thing I didn’t like was after leaving my clothes smell like I was in the kitchen. My husband also mentioned the same thing. But overall I pleased with the services.
